Unit 3 - Friends across time.

Good afternoon!

Here is the narration I told you today. I am still very interested in hearing your opinions about the last question: what do you think Marie could tell Edward?.

This is Edward. He is a child in the sixth grade like you. Edward lives in 1986.

Edward is writing a letter to a pen pal called Susan. She lives in the other side of the country.

He is thinking about the things he can say, he is not in a hurry.

The letter can take a week to arrive.

Edward has never seen Susan, but they are friends anyway.

This is Marie. She is also in the sixth grade, but she lives in 2016.

Marie has an friend called Joey, who lives across the Ocean. Their parents are good friends too.

Marie is writing an email to Joey. The email will arrive almost instantly.

She can also chat with Joey or browse the Internet to see what he is doing in social media.

Marie has many pictures Joey mailed her of his house and school.
