Unit 6 - Pale blue dot

Good afternoon!

First of it all, happy Peace Day!. I hope you enjoyed the celebrations at school and that the exercise we did in class made you think a little.

I want to put the text, the questions and the pictures here, and I want you to show it to your family: it is a very important message!.

This is your room. You share it with your brother or sister.

Maybe you fight, but you make peace because your bond is bigger than you.

Your room is smaller than your house.

This is your house. You share it with your family.

Maybe you fight, but you make peace because your love is bigger than you.

Your house is larger than your room, but smaller than your street.

This is your street. Many of your friends live here.

Sometimes you fight wit your friends, but you get along and make peace because friendship is important.

Your street is larger than your house, but smaller than your region.

This is Andalusia. You share it with other Andalusians, most people you know live here.

Sometimes there are disagreements because we are all different, but we respect each other and live in peace.

Andalusia is larger than your street, but smaller than your planet.

This is your planet, the Earth. You share with everybody. Every person you know lives here.

There are disagreements every day but... do we solve them?. Do we live in peace?.

The Earth is larger than Andalusia, but smaller than the universe.

You see that blue dot?. That is the earth seen from far.

Everybody you know or read about, everything you know or studied and every song you know started there.

When you see how small it is, does it make you think that problems are actually smaller?

Answer these questions with "Yes" or "No":

• The problems of Andalusia are larger and more important than the rest. [Answer]
  No. Did you see the Earth?. You can't even see frontiers from that far!
